Corporate Assistant in Iqaluit, Nunavut
The Corporate Assistant plays an integral role in nurturing healthy relationships between Nunasi Corporation Board of Directors and the community at large. As the initial contact person, the Corporate Assistant is responsible for generating a professional, supportive and cooperative image of Nunasi Corporation to all persons and entities requesting assistance. The office administration and Corporate Secretary functions performed by this position play a critical role in ensuring effective and efficient communications. Provides Administrative support for the management of the day to day operations and to the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Audit Committee by completing meeting preparations. minute taking, notices, agendas, and resolutions. Ensures Federal and Territorial compliance requirements are met including filing of Annual Returns and Human Resources records are kept in accordance to legislated requirements.
Fluency in Inuktitut is required. Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Inuktitut. You should be an effective leader, self-motivated, organized, and conscientious as well as competent working with computer software i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, etc. Detail oriented person with an ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Familiarity with basic business practices, office procedures and Roberts Rules of Order are required. Clear understanding of the structures of the Designated Inuit Organizations and the Regional Inuit Associations.
